851 Speedo Drive

90 851, 91 851, 94 900SL, 03 MTS 1000DS, 04 999S

I need a new drive unit for a 1990 851. it's 17mm. what else would fit, an SS of the same vintage for instance? Also need a speedo cable too, apparently the only difference I can find out between an SS and an 851 is the latter has a shim washer of some sort at the drive end,
any help appreciated,

I think you are right - later and more common were 20 or 25 mm dia - Paso is probably the same :- DUCATI 907 IE PASO 17MM SPEEDO DRIVE HEAD | eBay could get them to measure this one (1990) :- DUCATI 900SS 900 SS (88-90) SPEEDO DRIVE & CABLE | eBay
