749 Crank Case Advise

  1. I’m re building a 749r engine that had crank cases destroyed.... so all I need is cases.. would 999s cases fit the 749r cylinders ?

  6. i think i am correct in saying the 104 bore R/ RS crankcases the stud spacing for the cyls is bigger than on the smaller bore stuff

  7. Not case related directly, but, I bought a 57mm banana system sold by a dealer for the 999s, dealer was not sure if it would fit my 749r. It did without any modifications at all. 999s must be very similar engine layout and sizes to the 749r.

  8. I have 100mm 999 cylinders on my 749 bottom end without any modification.
    I could measure the stud PCD on the 749 cylinders I have on the shelf. Then if it’s the same as your R cylinders. It’s game on.
