  6. You’ve done well at 9,700 miles! I’ve just had an advisory to change mine at 1 year and 3200 miles!!

  7. Finally got bike out today after installing new chain and sprockets ,and it is totally transformed. No more snatchiness from throttle ( which I had thought previously was a TPS or Rexxer remap issue ).
Just smoother and quieter in every respect.
Love it , love it , love it. Like having a new bike

  8. Well today I fitted a new chain and sprockets. Went with this kit from Caprimoto https://www.carpimoto.it/en-AU/46592_DU-1252-2-DID-530ZVM-X-Chain-15.htm
15t front and 42 rear. Cost to get it to Australia was 208 euro ($AUD 340) which is heaps cheaper than anything I can get here (plus its really hard to get the 15t/42t sprockets). Took about 2hrs and a few beers to fit (taking my time and giving everything a really good clean). Dont be frightened about the horror stories of needing 6 foot long breaker bars / impact wrenches to get the rear 55mm wheel nut of either......I used a 2.5 foot long bar with 10 year old kid standing on the rear brake with no problems (although we dont have salt etc on our roads in winter over here so that may be a factor). Fitting was easy with no issues or curly problems. Previously I had a 14t front and 40t rear with 22500km.......the chain (original) was totally f..ed.

  9. @PK1, you got an excellent deal on the chain and sprocket kit. :upyeah:

  10. I need some help with this.

I can see the two sprockets have a slightly different profile, done in the manufacturing process, but I can't see any wear? ?

No hooking, the tips seem intact ?
