And presumably the new seat will fit properly against the tank, like the old one doesn't? Be interested to find out what the new seat costs.
Fitting points are exactly the same - in what way isn't it fitting properly? I seem to recall a figure of around £250 for a pair.
It's mainly where it meets the tank. The two corners in particular stick out and there's a decent gap all along this edge. I just accepted it until I saw how well/close the new seat fits. My seat really look cheap and nasty by comparison.
I got a new Sargent seat for my 2013 Multi this week. Looks and fits great. I had to remove the helmet bolt (did not know what it was at the time) in order for the Sargent to fit. Does that bolt actually hold anything else in place, was dark so I could not really see. Will check it out over the weekend, but thoughts would be appreciated.
