Picked bike up from MotoRapido, new head bearings and rear shock has been refurbished, fuelling checked !! What an amazing difference !! Superb job !!
I've got a hurty leg:frown: I had a killer job last week drilling holes into a concrete ceiling, since then the pain in my leg has been getting worse and worse, and at the moment I can't rest it cos the job needs to be finished. Didn't help that the lift broke down today and I had to carry everything up 8 flights of stairs Seriously, if anyone knows how to deal with muscle pain (it's my right thigh and knee that hurts), I'd appreciate some advice.
Tramadols might help! They will at least let you forget the pain for a while, but don't take them and expect to drive!
I miss London so much . I used to work on Fleet Street, Every weekend except Bank Holiday I'd be there . I used to get stopped for photos by tourists .. I miss things being open all night and the noise and the fact there is always something to do. I was raised outside of Croydon so a quick bus ride then 15 min on train and I was there . I'd say I had a pretty great time . I regret leaving. I liked it when London was. Short trip away. No way am I being buried up here!! Il haunt whoever does that!! I hate leaving the place.
I once had to change trains in Barcelona - or more accurately change train stations. I was with a couple of mates and we had less than an hour (can't remember how long, but very little time) to work out how the Barcelona underground worked, buy the right tickets and get on and off the right trains. We were 19. We did make it, just. Imagine our surprise and delight when we found that the train we finally boarded was exactly the same train we had just been sitting on for the past 10 hours. It had simply trundled around to a new station. Instead of solving the riddle of the Barcelona underground, we could have just sat tight on the train. But then that info wasn't in the Thomas Cook International Train Timetable. The Paris Metro is also needlessly complicated in that every line has two names depending in which direction you are travelling (so that's twice as much to learn) and there is no standard map with lines of a fixed colour. The Tube Map is just the most amazing piece of graphic design. Ducbird: you're next job is to do a long cross London journey on the buses. More of a challenge, but so long as you've got an Oyster card it doesn't really matter if you keep getting on the wrong ones. Plus now that they announce the stops and where you're going every 30 seconds, it does take a lot of the fun (and the guesswork) out of it.
I found the Paris Metro quite easy and would be happy to do it on my own. The Underground is quite simple once your there and read the maps. I did my homework first so I knew which way I needed to go and the right direction Now the buses hmmm will try that out next time.
The buses are the business. You get to see where you're going and they obviously have many more stops than the Underground, so you can generally be dropped pretty much exactly where you want to be. If you're lucky, you might get one of those super useful buses that goes all the way from point A to point B without having to change. Best thing is to grab an Oyster card and experiment, once you've picked up a bus map from somewhere like Piccadilly Circus Underground station (or wherever it is they give them away now).
I went out I have been indulging in going to gigs again. Quite a good punk scene where I live . Met a lot of people who I knew 20 years ago which was lovely. One looks more like Lemmy then Lemmy!!!! Next if I'm well , Roller Derby practise and Kustom Kulture show. I will be taking my Monster Hector along to shine!!
All the below is what works for me, no liability accepted for anybody trying any of the below with disastrous consequences. What works for me (a 43 year old who insists on playing rugby till he drops), is a blend of (a) anti-inflammatories (cheap generic ibuprofen works most of the time for me), (b) painkillers (paracetamol usually is enough) and (c) stretching (you need to google quad stretches and gluteal stretches (which often help with sciatic type pains, too)) Plenty of water helps reduce effects of muscles cramps, too. Glad I got off the tools when I was young enough.
Fig try those Salompas patches if you want to try one pm me your addy and il chuck one I'm the post for you see if it helps its no problem . Keep the muscle warm as well . try and massage it as this gets blood to the area and will help with healing.
El T love live music ..... As long as its not poop!!!! I went to see a ACDC tribute band last year. 1. The guy making out he was Angus looked like. One of the chuckle brothers , and should not go out in public in shorts ever! His wife bless looked like the other Chuckle brother but blonde. I'm not sure who's songs were Being covered but it was so bad we could not recognise the song . It was so bad people stood mouth agog . People were leaving in droves It got so dire people stayed as it was so funny . the best bit being several of ran up as " Angus" was playing a solo ( v badly) a bunch of us jumped up and decided to bow down to this guitar god ... He looked terrified when this bunch of biker girls jumped up. He actually ran away!!!!! His wife stood like a bulldog chewing a wasp. It was the worst tribute band ever . so wish I could recall the name and find a youtube clip of how dire they were.
