08 848 Quick shifter advice

  1. Hi all... wondered if anybody has had one fitted & I need advice on a brand to go for .. Cheers...

  3. I saw those on their official site.. Not sure if I missed something (only a quick look at work) but I only spotted the thumb button automatic version.. is that the one you mean?

  4. I have a HM - apparently highly thought of
    I have only used it for a bit but it seems to do the job well enough

  5. No the push button one is for lard arsed harley and multistrada riders with crippling ailments to the function of their legs. The TLS-QS4GP-12 if for track applications.

    I use a HM one myself on the 853R, though I do know several gearbox's that have suffered using HM units. I have aleays been ok, though I would err away from a HM unit if I was purchasing another.

  7. Had the HM on my 08 848 no problems, now on the Evo Corse SE :biggrin:

  8. Never heard of anyone say the HM kills gearboxes, Ducati, BMW, DJ, TL maybe but NOT HM! HM is the best shifter on the market IMO and used by most of the riders in Moto3 and I think now ALL the Moto2 teams... as well as the likes of Ten Kate etc etc etc

  9. My 848 has a HM one courtesy of Arthur above, and would recommend it and would also recommend buying from Arthur.....
