Hi, has anyone here used their 1199 on a track day at Spa with standard exhaust and cans? They have a pretty Draconian 100dB limit but I don't know how they measure this; revs, distance from exhaust outlet, etc. A few of us want to go next year. A friend of mine with an 899 contacted the organisers and they gave him the impression he would have to fit dB killers to his STANDARD exhaust to get through testing! Does anyone know of such things?
As you, I have heard that Spa has a draconian system and like the Ring, rumour has it, if you rock up on a Ducati, you'll get special attention, the wrong sort of special attention ! Andy
I did the Nurburgring earlier this year on a standard 899 with no problems at all, I also visited Spa last year during a Bikers Days Trackday and every other bike on track was a Panigale so it is possible, however the Bikers Days Operatives were not overly helpful when enquiring and it all looked extremely strict and not welcoming to outsiders. The day we visited the Ring in August, the bike session was cancelled due to the weather so I didn't get to see anyone. Andy
I've sent an email direct to the circuit to see if they have an angle on this. I've booked with Biker's Days and could cancel with a small loss of dosh but would really like to go there. I'll let everyone know what I find out.
