New on here although long term Duke owner (since 1980 oh dear..) was on Ducatisti(spelling?) and another forum but can't find them anymore, prob closed down? I have a bog standard 2002 998S BIP with 3,600 odd miles on it (can be proved) service history tool kit stand cover documents etc and was trying to find a realistic value to sell it. Apologies it's a 'first post how much thread'. Cheers, Steve
Welcome Steve Your bike sounds like a right shed - I'll do you a favour and take it away Realistically somebody will be along soon with a figure
A quick search of gumtree, autotrader (eBay may be a bit ropier) may give you an idea - with low miles and history you should be in the higher ball park
Thats the problem, they're all over the place; the mileage is unusual I realise, but the range on sale is anywhere between 12-20 grand!
Sounds like a few optimistic sellers there? Being a 998S there will be less around to compare with so I can see your dilemma, one of our resident museum curators @Exige may have a reasonable idea where to pitch it. Photos will help too. Cheers
8 to 10 k. not this time of year though and the advertisers at nearly 20 k are either from Sheffield or have smoked to much weed
Yes wasn't planning to sell now, but its just sat there so I'm weighing up the options. Quite hard to judge as not many and very low miles etc, looks like a month old bike!
A 998S sounds like the sort of thing that should be ridden lots... so was it yellow or red? Either way, £10k sounds cheap, unless I'm buying...
