  1. WIFE:Dont get a Ducati, you didn't have good experience the last time
ME: IT WILL BE DIFFERENT THIS TIME@!@@@!
    Me: Woohoo new Bike
Me: Gosh! how bothersome! this clutch isn't working...new master slave cylinder after a few weeks of Ducati humming and hahing and "gathering data"
Me: DRL auto not working...ducati nicely fit new headlight unit
Me: Uh don't suppose you have spare screws to replace the ones that have fallen out of the lower fairing
Me: Do you have spare screws for the chain slider under the swingarm
Me: Uh wife can you pick me up, the bike has gone up in a cloud of smoke and is pissing oil everywhere.

Dealer has been nothing but good , but seriously this is taking the mick, the S1000rr did way more miles and all I did was replace tires and tension chain.

  2. oh dear, Sorry to hear - NEW bike? - which one?

  3. These Ducatis are premium though, admittedly it's a problem nobody told the production line or parts sourcing team that....but premium they are :upyeah:

  5. I'm sure their catchy German slogan is really an insult to us Brits, people just say it thinking it makes them sound cool :)

  6. I'm biased after having the misfortune of owning one once, 'Nachteil durch Technik' was my experience :D but I'm sure they aren't all like that sir....

  9. I have to say I never had notable issues with my 899 or 1299. I fully expected they would ruin my life especially as I rode them as intended.

I think sometimes you just get a ‘Friday bike’ although is it me or does the v4 seem to be having more issues than the previous gens??

    might just be me

  10. Classic gen 1 ducati really. They always iron out niggles* during gen 1 and then sell everyone the proper bike in gen 2 and upgrade those eager early adopters. Bastards

  11. That’s true to be fair. Gen 1’s have always been troublesome

  12. Don’t fret. She’s worth it. Oh, and the wife.

    das ist ein Spiegelei

Not really relevant but the only German phrase I know. Blame a lack of education.

  15. Beat me to it, Hyperdildo. Was gonna suggest that, but my Italian typewriter developed a fault, (looks fantastic, tho') and the wife has a breakdown 3 times a week! (Half Italian! Also looks great) Character, I love it!

  16. You've managed 7000kms! @bradders killed his BMW in less than 1000 miles I think (blew to smithereens)
    Hope all ends well o_O

  17. Turns out it was a self destruction of cooling system and fan had chewed up the radiator , so new rads and all good again.
