Are there any motocross footpegs that fit the 1200s? I've snapped another stock one, need something that isn't made of cheese, and isn't too expensive (that's why I was thinking of steel motocross ones)
First time I slid down the road on ice in January, so it's understandable. Today, I tried a bit of green laning, slipped on some wet mud (had road tyres on) and the footpeg snapped off in wet mud, which is not understandable to me... Jimvee's enduro pegs have been sold. I've moved the pillion peg to the front, and put the stump from the front onto pillion hanger, just so I can keep the ball bearing and spring in a safe place
The enduro pegs are extremely strong and thick stainless parts. I’d recommend them if you’re breaking yours regularly. Mine are sold.
As above, Enduro pegs are more substantial and offer better grip. Just one aside though... If the fall has enough energy to break the peg, putting a strong peg in there means the force will go through something else. Might not be the peg that goes, but the hanger or worse the frame mount... It's worth considering where the sacrifice has to be made. Better the cheaper peg than the hanger or frame.
Hyperstrada 821/939 passenger footpegs will fit to the front of the Multi 1200. You just carry across the spring mount.
Yes, I bought them off you a couple of years ago Jim. Now sold em on to MojoThe Jester. Small world huh ?!!!
Lol that was the first pair from my white multi, just sold another pair from my red multi which I px tomorrow lol.
Sorry if this question has already been answered . But will the 2016 Enduro foot pegs fit the early 2013 - 2014 multi ? The DUCATI 96280461A part number looks correct but I just would like to hear from someone that has done this before I order a pair. Thank you Carl
Thankyou for the reply So do I asume correctly the standard pegs were all the same on the 1200 versions. 2010 - 2016 years
Hi shoboshi I'm looking for a pair. And used pair would be fine. I'm a little confused because I emailed one Ducati dealer who said they dont fit. But I thought all 1200 versions had the same standard peg. So logic says the enduro pegs should fit straight on. Carl
I have a pair of Enduro footpegs fitted to my DVT Multistrada, actually the same pair as were fitted to my previous Multistrada. They are exactly like the standard pegs but bigger. The pillion footpegs are also interchangeable. The removable rubber inserts are different. The pivot pins are held in by a tiny circlip which is easy to lose so better to buy spare ones.
As you can see from here, https://downloads.ctfassets.net/oif...ff1eaa2694/Multistrada_1200_S_-_EN_-_MY17.pdf and here, https://downloads.ctfassets.net/oif...aa/Multistrada_1200_ENDURO_EU_US_MY18_DMH.pdf the footrests have different part numbers for all the parts associated with the footrest. I also infer that as there are no parts diagrams prior to 2015 on the Ducati web site and the start date of the parts on the diagram, pre 2015 footrests are likely to be different yet again. To me, the Enduro footrest looks substantially bigger as does the locating pin so you might have to drill out part number 1 on both diagrams. Andy
Hi Andy Thankyou Looking at the pdf's it does look that way and the pivot pins might be a larger diameter as both the pin and C clip have different part numbers. So just going by the drawings it implies it's not possible with some drilling. But the Ducati part number I mentioned above is a direct replacement performance part that Ducati says goes straight onto a standard 1200 DVT. So perhaps I'm missing something here or maybe one set of info is incorrect. I think I'll wait to see if Shoboshi finds his pegs tomorrow and then maybe things will become clearer. Carl
