1098S price

  1. Hello. I'm found a beautiful 1098S , 58 reg. 6000 miles and 1 owner. The asking price is 8990£. This will be my first Ducati and I would be very happy to get some tips and advice. Is the price ok? I'm 37 years old,are they expensive to insure? Can I expect an expensive service soon? Thank you for any inputs. BBJ

  2. Hi BBJ, I bought my 1098 3yrs ago on an 08 plate with 3600 miles on the clock for £9200 from a dealer. In my opinion I would have said you were paying towards the top end for a 1098s but from what you have said it sounds like a good one so it's not an unrealistic price. Insurance is fine, I'm 33 and insured with MCE. Servicing all depends on who you get it done by. I have mine done at Riders Bridgwater and it can be expensive but there are plenty of Ducati specialists that would probably be more reasonable. Hope this helps.

  3. Thank you abe. I'll give them a lower offer and then we'll see.

  4. Is the bike standard or has it got any extras like Termi's etc?
