Hi guys/and gals! Sorry to sound stupid, my 749 has done 7k, and not had the arse ramped out of it, so would it still be due it's major service (had belts etc done) but what would be a tell tale sign it would need the shim or whatever done, I also own a 2000 triumph 955 daytona, done 33k and had the shims checked at 25k (as it's recommended to, but were fine so didnt replce them. The garage who serviced it said if the bikes not been hammered much the delay in having this service shouldn't be an issue, it really only due when it's having a hard fast life??? Plus does anyone know the cost of said service, and anywhere to go for it in Hull? Thanks
Testastrettas aren't known for chewing cam followers so I wouldn't be overly stressed. I don't think you'll get much of a tell tale sign if the shims are off so it's just the chance you are comfortable with.
