Akrapovic evolution system

  1. Does anyone know whether the 1098/1098s evolution system would fit on my 1198 I have found a used system at a Gd price, but don't want to spend if it won't fit! I was under impression the 848/1098/1198 were all compatible!

  2. I'm probably wrong but I thought the headers were a different size on the 1098/1198 to the 848.

  3. Ya I've heard the 1098r model has the same size diameter manifolds but the 1098/s models are slightly smaller! Which means the pipes I seen should b to small:(

  4. I think the 1098(s)/1198 are the same size, so if that kit is for them it will fit.

  5. Oh right I'm not sure then. I read on another forum that diameter of where the manifold bolts to the engine, was slightly smaller on the 1098 and s model compared to the 1098r and 1198 being bigger

  7. yes bollocks, the 1098 and 1198 have different mounts at the manifold.......the 1098R (as its a 1198 engine) are the same as the 1198................
