For Sale 1198r, Deposit Taken!

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by TZ750D, Dec 26, 2019.

  1. Do you know if the UK 1098R came with a decat 70mm exhaust as standard? That would explain the differences in the Uk and Euro 1198R specs. Cant be sold as standard with no cat here.

  2. Ducati released quite a few models with yoke number for US only. Apparently the US market likes it. 1198S are numbered in US also. I am sure the yoke number bears no relation to the frame number.

  3. Unfortunately yes, I’ve come to learn that . Next time will be different, we live & learn:).

A guy just sent me this pic

  5. As above, I think only the Bayliss - extra for the normal red ones I think - Bayliss had both full systems.

  6. Seen that picture somewhere before  or deffo a picture of the No 10 plaque :eyes:

  7. Paul, late to the thread but if you want proof of residence in UK you can get Council tax history which is effectively the utility bills you don't have, or solicitors documentation showing land registry info?

  9. Also, if you paid income tax in the UK, the tax office will have a record of your address.

  10. Wow what a bike. Those exhausts . Just wish I had the cash sitting around. GLWS

  11. True, but I have to prove I was actually living there as well which is why they want utility bills, bank statements, mobile phone bills etc. It seems too many people have games the system in the past.

  12. Absolutely stunning bike. If only had invested in crypto currency early enough to afford it. Whoever ends up buying it will be well chuffed.

Re Paul’s proof of residence challenge. Try online bank statements and as Harry suggested do phone council for old council tax records. Our local office printed off 10 years worth and collected same day.

    Cheers

  13. 397F252B-F9CC-4B23-8F4E-77CAEA9ABF20.jpeg Hiya, I’m a bit late to the party with this having been away a few months and not on the forum since November and none of the miserable twats on here thought to give me a heads up it would seem!
I remember enquiring about this at the time you bought it and asking for first refusal if you did not buy it. If you still have it therefore I guess I would like it subject to the usual import stuff etc. It would need to be imported to Switzerland so no need for any UK nonsense and it won’t need to be registered thereafter (yes observers I know I said I was having a rationalisation). I am leaving again for Bali on Thursday via London and due to fly in to LA for a couple of days en route so if timings work can take an internal flight to Minneapolis/St. Paul and take a look. I’m not scared of the cold as the picture from this morning shows.
Drop me a PM if you still have it (or not) please and we can start a dialogue. Thanks in advance!

  18. Sorry Joe - I had assumed you had been reading the previous string. Yes - the bike is here tucked up in my heated garage. If you are able to fly in, I'll pick you up at the airport - its only 25min away. Delta has direct flights from MSP back to LHR. Anyway PM me if you want more info. Cheers, Don
