First TT & fashionably late to the party, so settled for the Ben-My-Chree night boat, no cabins or bookable seats left, does anyone know if there's anywhere to get your head down for a couple of hours??
Don't sleep on the floor! I made that mistake in the main eating area on the Ben coming back on the night boat from the Classic a couple of years ago and was rewarded with flea bites all over my neck. No bookable seats left would suggest that the boat may be quite full, so the prospect of getting laid out over several seats could be slim. Cabins are sometimes available after boarding is completed, so get to the information desk asap, get your name on the reserve list and listen out for announcements.
the only time ive been i was on an 11pm ferry and there was no seats anywhere.. a bunch of northern biker dudes invited me to join them at their table and we done shots of sambuca till we all passed out at the table... dont know what time that was but i could barely ride my bike off the ferry when we docked, parked it as soon as i got out the gates and fell asleep on the sea wall for a good 6 hours! after i went in to the information kiosk thingy and they found me a hotel for the week. even though online everything appeared to be booked out prior to heading there, they found about 5 options for me.
