hi team. i have a ducabike bracket on my 748 and my damper rubs on the tank... anyone else have one of these fitted and have the same problem? or have i fitted it wrong or something? my tank and damper are currently away getting repainted and id like to solve this or come up with a practical solution (maybe sticking a bit of rubber to tank? bit shit i know) before refitting the parts...
Don't know anything about the Ducabike bracket but doesn't the standard one have two mounting points to alow for the adjustable headstock. Steve
the bracket only has one mounting point but there is 2 for the rose to allow for what you say.. i am using the correct one for the steering angle (i think!) but i have tried it in the other position and same prob... basically the bracket is floppy as fuck so the damper falls onto the tank.. i will definitely post picks when i have em back to see if i am just being a mong and its something simple but i think im not.. being a mong that is...
hmmmm.... from memory there is just a plastic spacer under there... from memory.. although i have removed the damper to get it repainted, the bracket is still fitted from 7 years back... i will take a look... do you think this could make the difference? (lol, obviously you do or you wouldnt have suggested it!) but i cant see how this would cause the issue... then again, im often surprised by the simple things....

what mount do you have? i dont think this happened when i had the standard set up .. but i changed to an ohlins and a ducabike bracket at the same time and wasnt familiar with either.
I have the same issue previously. replaced the o-ring under the ducabike bracket from hardware store. The damper doesn't touch the tank anymore.
cool dude!!! man, that triple looks well nice as does the forks and bars!!! and steering stem nut!! what nut is that? i have a speedy moto triple on mine and woodcraft clipons but just the standard nut...
Thanks. The triple is from corse dynamics with 30mm offset. Stem nuts is speedy moto v2 nut. Fork is from 848 with GP suspension cartridges. Bars and clip-ons are adjustable from ducabike.
