Have you ridden with it yet, if so, what's the fore & aft vibration like, with sat nav fitted? Be interesting to know what it's like compared to the Navihalter / Ducati style sat nav mount. Cheers
Had one on my dvt for a while , and it’s better than the navihalter which it replaced , but still not perfect. I have replaced the little universal bush thingy also , but I suspect the movement is plastic flexing and not the evotech. Overall it’s pretty good though
Just ordered one and a zumo XT. Hoping it's a bit lighter and better than the navhalter and zumo 590. I have a very short screen so will be interesting to see how it looks.
Be very interested to hear what it’s like. From what I could gather there’s no direct input or output (only Bluetooth) for use with a hardwired system. I use a starcom1 and a ZUMO 595 wired so new charging up etc.
had the Ducati Performance GPS mount at first on my 1260s ... changed it out for the EvoTech GPS mount about 6 months ago, and feel the EvoTech is the best on the market at present. have my Garmin 395 mounted on it ... and it contains the GPS behind the windscreen even when i am running the Pikes Peak windscreen with Iconic Parts spacers ...
Just test rode with it and seems ok. I have the garmin 590 so it’s a big weighty screen only bounced a bit on the lumpy roads but not that you couldn’t read it. Generally it was stable enough for me.
Good to hear. I have a TomTom 410 (I think.!) and it tends to bounce on all but the smoothest of roads. I did modify the support, which has helped, but still not perfect.
Here are two pics of the bracket I made which helps reduce fore/aft vibration when using a sat nav. Doesn’t get rid of it completely but a huge improvement over standard.
Bracket has compound angles which help to keep it sprung. The three point fixing helps by pushing the fore/aft movement out toward the sides, hence reducing said fore/aft play.
Hi John - why do you need the spacers for the Pikes Peak low windshield? Thx for any clarification Helge
