About 6 times now whilst out and about the bike feels like its stop/starting quickly. Almost like its running out of fuel. I keep going and its fine. Temperature doesnt make any difference and nor does what gear I'm in. I've never had a problem like this on previous bikes so I'm not sure if it's me or daisy??
Be more specific... (No noticeable issues on mine so far, apart from the clutch, which STILL needs regular bleeding even after the recall)
Razz I'm tootling along and it's as if I've opened/closed the throttle in quick sucsetion. Bike lurches then runs fine.
So its a lurch forward (sudden momentary throttle opening) rather than a lurch backward (sudden momentary throttle closure). That probably rules out the quick shifter... What engine mode are you running?
Your two posts are contradictory. First one mentions stop/start, second mentions throttle open/close. First produces a deceleration lurch, second an acceleration lurch. Which is it? If its deceleration, go out and ride the bike with the QS off and see if it still does it.
So it hesitates as you accelerate, as if the throttle was cut for an instant. Certainly could be the QS. Its the easiest thing to eliminate. Just ride the bike for a bit with it switched off. Other than that, its probably time for a trip to the dealer and get it plugged in to the diagnostics.
Not sure if serious..... My 1198 is called 'Big hunking lump of metal', unless it doesn't start then it's 'c***'.
If you still have the issue. i had very similar, started doing it very occasionally, then got to the stage of it happening all the time and actually quite dangerous. It was the quick shifter that was faulty (replaced under warranty). Like others have mentioned previously, disable the QS and give it a run to test / prove, but obviously once the lockdown is over.
