  1. I'm have a problem getting the fuel line from the throttle bodies to fit over the barbed end of the fitting under the fuel tank on my Pani.
Does anybody know how to do this i guess clamps are out now and plastic is in:)

  2. could you get a photo so we can see what the fitting looks like?

  3. I don't knoe how to upload photos but it is the fuel pressure quick disconnect that comes from the tank to the throttle bodies. I bought a metal fitting because I was told the plastic ones broke and now I can't get the fuel line to fit on the new metal fitting. I have been told buy a car guy to heat it up?????

  4. Is it the quick connection type you are replacing the plastic for Metal??

  5. we use a similar product for our medical devices, if you can't get the tube over the barbs, heat the tube it so it softens, no naked flames of course. I have used a hair dryer or a cup of boiling water. Duke

  6. The metal fittings corrode then you can't get them apart. Stick with what you have. Who told you that shit about plastic?

Car guys - what do they know?

  7. I tried with a heat gun while the tube was already started and made it hot enough so the plastic bubbled. Maybe I should try it with the tube off then slip it on? Now it's an inch short. Story of my life:)

  8. Heat the tube first, don't overdo it as it will burn. Interestingly the 749 uses metal fittings, Duke

  9. My 999 uses plastic and to put it on and off you just squeeze both sides of the top plastic ring to release the fitting from the locking edge on the tank mounted fitting and pull/push, simples. Maybe things have been improved....that's always a problem when they do that.

  10. Tinkering with a Pani? Don't you have a Pani-Wallah for those menial tasks??

just poor persons' jealousy, btw. ;-)
