I'm looking for some carbon air tubes that fit the standard airbox and intake size but are also compatible with the RS type expansion tank. The standard tubes have a bulge on the back which hugs a frame member, this bulge prevents fitting the RS tank which sits on the outside of the frame. Hopefully this picture will help explain. The bottom tube is standard with the bulge. The top tube no bulge but oversized aperture. Any suggestions? I've read QB Carbon do a large tube that fits the standard airbox and fairing but does it have the bulge??
they come up on ebay, ive got them on my bike.....they are easy to spot if you look at the pictures........

I have the QB carbon 'large' airtubes and they are thinner in that area (due to not having filter fitments) yet are larger at the front. Pretty sure they would fit with an RS tank, in fact I bought an RS tank a while back but didn't fit it, I ended up with a custom ally tank which also needed more space in that area due to the way the radiator hose fits to it. These pics show the space between tubes and frame;
Cheers Dukedesmo is was hoping you would chime in having read your comments about air tubes on other forums. Looks like those will do the trick. And thanks andyb I'd found that link but like you say, no picture. I'll give QB a shout.
Took a couple of attempts, as my bike and workshop are miles apart. But i modded mine myself, only my track bike so function over form is definitely the motto. Oh, and i've got the corse bottle that fits around the headstock which takes up even more room, hence the larger piece removed than you'd need to do.
