  3. The other machine (SX) I was once toying with. Tried the 1000SX but the Duc had way more character. I have just placed a deposit on a 1200 ABS though. You happy with the non Skyhook?
Right choice then? Which way is it that much better?

  10. Thanks.....now is Geert so slow you were able to ride past him on the outside...............or you got your line really wrong and he's taken you on the inside?!
I guess you have to pay for photos without the 'watermark' :-(

  11. A wet day up in the north York moors on way to Whitby. 651 miles in 4 days using York as my HQ. Mutly was fine, hoorah.

  12. Judging by the max mark on the depth post.....you had it easy! ;-P

....what's going on with the spots??

  13. Spots were on due to zero visibility on the top of the moor. Which you can't see from the picture as i'd dropped down to this ford. As soon as Mutley had chugged up the other side it was back to radar riding till Whitby. Where the fog followed all the way from their to Scarborough . Second day was better as went west to Hawes then Grassington. Top roads for the Mutley.

  14. Yes great riding country....on the must get back there sometime list! :D

Spots....no I meant looks like mounted in different positions....right way forward of left? Or is that an optical illusion of some sort?
Ride with mine on all the time

  15. AndyW I now see what you mean about my spots, most odd. Replaced a bulb in the l/h one last week and they have a semi circular convex reflector (in front of bulb) that covers half of the cone shaped reflector that the bulb sits in. This semi circular bit is forward of the bulb; a strange design (Hawk fog lights). So maybe one spot has the semi circular reflector covering the left half of the spot and the right spot has the semi circular bit covering the right side; as you look at them head on so to speak. As mine are mounted on the nudge bars it seems they are 'on their side' anyway by dint of the writing around the projector lens housing collar now vertical/on it's side. I will investigate this when I have nothing better to do  or fail to move an inanimate object using just the power of my mind!!

  16. Look forward to hearing the outcome of your investigations

...or fail to move an inanimate object using just the power of my mind!!

  17. AndyW; Mind 0 - Brick 1. The spots are set at the same place on the nudge bars but the r/h/s one is pointing further inboard than it's twin on the left. A deft adjustment using a size 9 Sidi boot sorted it!!!!
