999 999/749 Loom Help

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Russell, Jun 19, 2020.

  1. Hello Chaps

I'm currently halfway through a 748 engine swap project using a 999 motor, loom, dash etc etc. Has anyone got a picture of the back of the 749/999 battery box, showing how the loom comes from the back of the ECU/Reg Rec and out the back of the box?
I know its a heat sensitive area, and I'd like to get it right.

Heres a pic for no reason :upyeah::)

  4. Whilst you are in there, relocate the pump/coil/injector relay to the top of the battery box. There is even a square rubber holder for it to go in.

  6. Keeps the relay out of the road crud - As extra precaution put a sleeve over it (finger cut off rubber glove or similar ) and apply some electrical silicon grease to the terminals to stop any corrosion.

  7. The workshop manual has loads of wiring pics in it
