Reluctantly selling, it has been perfect for the 1600 miles I've put on it over the last year and a half. However with my first child having been born in February this year and especially now that I'm working from home, I simply don't get any use out of it, so it needs to go.

New MOT as of 25th June, no advisories.

Additional earth lead and new regulator fitted on delivery back in Jan 19. Full service by Ducati specialist (Iain Rhodes) RPM bikes at Northampton, including belts, around this time last year, done 1000 ish miles since.

I only have one black key, no master or code card. You could use diagnostic software to disable the immobiliser easily enough if you’re worried. A while back I spoke to ChrisW, an expert in these things, about various options for disabling the immobiliser or pairing new spare keys. All of which are perfectly doable, it just never worried me too much.

Tyres (Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's) have a decent amount of tread but no point lying, they are 2015 vintage.

Good condition in general. The majority of panels have imperfections of some kind, it is 15 years old after all. Though it’s certainly no dog. The worst blemish is the paint that has faded between the filler cap and back of the tank on top. Probably because it takes the patience of a saint to not gush fuel everywhere when filling up Please have a good look through the photos.

I also have a brand new Showa shock which you can haggle for.

Bike is in Towcester, South Northants. Test rides only with proof of insurance and asking price bank transferred to me first.

If you've any questions then please ask.

  2. Sensible offers considered if that sways anybody

  3. Someone must want this. Darks seem to start at £4500 on eBay now o_O

  4. its lovely but my two cents given i am in the market

there was an S on gumtree that was sub 10k miles and well fettled that was sold for 3.8 and is now with a dealer for 5.3. admittedly early model so a bit riskier perhaps

there is also this puppy on the fleabay which is interesting but lots of questions

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-7...a=1&pg=2060778&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507

i have also seen a mk1 R that was very nice but pre covid money

there are buyers out there but its really a buyers market so if anything is priced pre-covid, then it wont shift soon is my view

  5. Interesting. That 749 biposto you linked is priced a lot lower than anything I’ve seen for weeks. The place mine came from has one very similar listed for £1000 more than I paid! The vast majority of 749’s being listed seems to be £4500 and over.

Anyway still for sale, I’m open to offers

  6. Last call before I have to suffer the dreamers on eBay. I’m open to offers.

  7. On eBay now.

Did have someone ready to take it at £3800 but they decided it must be dodgy as it has a silver frame despite being the facelift model...

So... £3800 will take it, otherwise it's going to rot and that'll make me sad.

  8. Having just bought a 2007 749s mono in glossy black id say yours is now keenly priced esp given the history and facelift

You might get chipped down a bit for not having the code card and master key etc but thats a 200 quid fix

Its a lovely example and fairly priced but def a buyers market so just depends on how long you can sit on it for

  9. Cheers. Out of interest why a £200 fix? The immobiliser could be disabled for the price of a suitable cable to use the software with. And pairing a new spare can be done more cheaply than that.

  10. because most folks are not as savvy as you and would want to give it to motomatrix or similar - easier to blame someone else if it goes wrong

  11. doesnt solve the spare key issue for you - why not get that solved so it gives buyers one less reason to move onto the next one?

  12. That’s a good shout. If the eBay ad ends without it selling then I’ll get a spare paired and cut.

  13. There is now a spare black key thanks to ChrisW
