Flappy Valve Thing And Austin Racing Pipe

  1. Hi Guys so the flappy valve thing in the exhaust what's the score is it for low down power and back pressure and if its removed ie if you fit a Austin racing exhaust( think it does away with it) how does it affect the bike ?
can you just remove from exhaust , cables and leave the servo , I have read conflicting reports that the ECU that comes with the termys holds it open constantly anyway so its just a weight loss exercise
has anybody fitted an Austin racing kit ? any thoughts ?
also when I got the bike it came with a bone dry K & N filter I've oiled it but ive heard the MWR filters are good ?
    thanks in advance :)

  2. Get rid. The EXBV is only there so the bike passes noise emission tests. It is not like the old Yamaha EXUP valve. Once disabled in the ECU it can be locked in the fully open position and the motor removed.

  3. thanks for the reply , soon as autumn comes its going !
    cheers jerry
