My cans have a fixed baffle and are original as far as i can tell (2nd owner) i have seen cans advertised as original but they have removable baffles, does anyone know if any of the above models had removable baffles out of the crate ? Also are the ecu's for the above models all the same and just have a different map in them ? ie can i buy a 848 ecu and have a 1198 race maps flashed into it ? cheers
All the ECU's are the same IAW5AM, but it's the full software inside that needs to be flashed not just the map. It will cost you 100 euro's for the writers software and around 15 quid for the cables if your gonna do it yourself. If I were going to use a different model of bike's ecu I'd do it off the bike, but the cable for that is homemade in addition to the two you buy. If your not gonna do anything else with the ecu after the flash, it may just be more cost effective to buy the right ecu, but if you want to do diagnostic stuff, tsp resets etc then the cables will come in handy anyway as the software for that is free.
