Anyone running with these? Looking at purchasing the 40mm axial for the SPS. Just wondering any issues with mounting? Not cheap, missed out on second hand pair though, just heard it’s a worthwhile upgrade. Ta.
Brembo do a p4 40mm axial in cnc. I’m presuming the p4, 4 pads are 65mm mounting though, although you can get an adapter. Just ask as my old 916 I had years ago had upgraded brakes and made such difference. I’m a bit sketchy though in this area if I’m honest. View attachment 214210
I bought these ones a few years ago when I was building that bike.. but I couldn't use them as the throat opening for the pads is wider than the ones you see on the bike now. The opening is 37mm against 34mm on the ones I used. We're still trying to figure out what they would have been used on. Obviously they would have to have had thicker discs... PS.. I should add that I bought them as used..
That’s my concern, possibly purchasing a set that doesn’t fit right. OmniaRacing say they are a straight swop, the cnc 40mm axial ones.
Discacciati do a cnc 40mm axial, and apparently very good, when compared to standard cast Brembo. They also do a rear with brake hanger too.
I would, but Italians on their extended tea break /holidays...again! I think with the Discacciati ones the brake lines may need to be a tad longer as connect to the side & not on top of the callipers. Just see a bike in the flesh with a set on, look very smart
6 piston anyone?...http://power-barn.com/isr-axial-mou...t-monobloc-calipers-with-40mm-centers-22-032/
They would be very useful...very expensive though! Guess you only get what you pay for. I missed a pair for £800...snooze you lose in my case...good spot though
I fitted some P4 CALIPERS to my 996, they are 65mm mount as opposed to the 916 40mm,, massive braking power with little physical effort and easy to keep clean, 4 piston & 4 pads per caliper
P4 callipers available in France, a mere €190 https://www.facebook.com/groups/462...29512560569324/?sale_post_id=1529512560569324
