I wondered if anyone has ever got to the bottom of the spluttering issues at low revs. My 899 runs like a pig when pulling away from junctions etc at low revs, usually between the 3k and 4K rpm it’s very annoying and feels like the bike just wants to stall or cut out! Below or above these revs it runs fine and as the 30mph seems to be around this window of revs it is very difficult to drive my bike and just makes me feel like getting rid of the damn thing and NEVER buy a Ducatiagain PLEASE HELP!!! ANYBODY!!! #
Thanks Chris, what do I need to do? I removed the cable from the front end at the cans but it’s still spluttering, would resetting TPS on diag help? I have no fault codes showing, thanks in advance
As Bradders says. the twin panigale’s have pistons like dulux paint tins and weren’t designed for low speed riding. the stock fuelling isn’t great, a map should sort this.
Could be one of the MAP sensors playing up or failed? Don’t always throw an error. If you can get it plugged into diagnostics and look at the figures they’re reporting, that can sometimes show one is on its way out.
Thanks for all the tips and info folks, I’ll plug it in and check it out!! Will update on the outcome
Have you tried putting the more expensive fuel in to see if it makes any difference? Also check your plug colours for running. I had a faulty tps that took a long time to eliminate. Once I put a meter on it, i could see that it was faulty. For me its better to elimante or try to test first. Vinnychoff
