Lidl stock rotates on a very regular basis. Now u see them now u don’t. No idea if they are in the stores at the moment but they will be in stock again. I have noticed them in on several occasions since buying mine. Download the Lidl app and put in an item search reminder.

The vast majority of official Ducati torque settings are quoted as being + or - 10% anyway. Whenever I take it to a workshop I tell them to do it up to 210. - Assuming their torque wrench is accurate. There are a number of "safety critical" settings that need to be within + or - 5% but the big wheel nut is not one of them. See this page for the MTS1200 as an example. - Technical data .... I bought in Lidl Sept 2017 and paid £29. I have seen them since at £39. Regarding the actual torque figures, when you get to these sorts of figures what is real meant is Fuckin tight. I have got that I just rattle the nut up and insert the pin clip. I have checked with my torque wrench and it has always been up too at least the specified figure, I don’t bother any more. I too add a cable tie - just because, and again the clip always remains “loose” meaning the nut remains tight.
Well the VonHaus Clarke clone shifted the wheel nut OK . It was even easier to remove when I got hold of the reverse bit of the trigger and not the tighten bit of the trigger mind ... They are just as big a bastard to torque back up though ... My wrench only goes up to around 210/215 newtonian metrics, so I set that and a 'ickle bit more. Trying to stand on the brake pedal with my right foot and also with left foot on the wrench until it clicked though, is pretty tricky I got there in the end mind, but looked pretty silly methinks
I use a small strap around the horizontal bar on my ABBA stand looped around the rear brake to hold it full on. Works a treat. HTH. View attachment 216440
Good idea. Alas I dont have an Abba and it was on the main stand, but I will bear that in mind and maybe adapt the idea in future cos it i surely tricky on my own
My 1200 mstrada rear wheel but was unbelievably tight and last put on by a dealer, ended up in my local garage using a hydraulic ratchet gun and gas heat gun. Finally got it off after a massive struggle. 2 weeks later realised the other side was as bad!!. Bought myself a 30 inch breaker bar which I used after reassembly with very clean threads and nut lightly oiled.
Well I've literally just tried to use my new latest Von-Haus impact wrench toy on my rear wheel nut and what a total waste of time and effort. All it would do is make the maximum torque rattle racket and nothing else. Incredibly disappointing I have to admit, so what seems to me anyway, to be utterly useless, is now in the process of being returned. Good intentions and all that. Back to square 1 and RIRO to my local tyre dealership.........
The University of American Samoa do a degree course on this very subject. For a nominal fee it can be upgraded to a Masters.

If anybody around the Oxford area needs to undo there wheel they can always arrange with me to borrow or I can nip past with my f**k off powerful Milwaukee impact gun. And I have a snap on Torque wrench to do it back up again.
You didn't do what I did and hit the tighten part of the trigger by mistake did you ? Once I realised what I had done, I thought I had really fecked up ...but it still spun it straight off even though I had massively over tightened it Its a stupid design. I added tape to mine now to make it more obvious which way is selected.
HO, No I didn't as I had already made sure I knew which trigger section to press. The gun simply wasn't up to it, perhaps being defective, however, no matter, it's on it's way back. Just paid £40/wheel to get two new tyres fitted, so before the next time, another version will need to be found............
I couldn't believe how thick I was, I knew about the trigger but just got distracted for one second and wondered why it wasn't coming off. I truly thought I had blown it but it span straight off ... You must have a bad unit clearly, mine although only used a couple of times is really good. Hope you get sorted with a good one soon
