Camshaft Cover / Valve Cover Leaks 899 Panigale

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Farhan, Sep 3, 2020.

  1. Hi All,

I currently have my bike in pieces and i have been tackling both valve covers which were leaking. Valve covers have been fixed with new Athena Gaskets with Threebond applied pretty much all around!

One question, Could someone share the torque spec for the valve cover bolts?

Final question, My camshaft cover looks as though it was leaking too, Hard to tell as i know it could have been the rocker covers. Whilst i have the bike apart i was going to remove, clean and reseal this as well but i removed the bolts and this thing is not budging at all. I know from pictures there are two locating dowels and a portion of this sits internally on the head. Any tips on removing this with ease? Also could you share the torque settings for these bolts when they are done back up.

    Thanks
