All, looking from some help from those of you that may know about fork settings. I had my pre-owned 950 sp delivered this morning – only 1300 miles and is in amazing condition. Can’t wait to ride it in earnest. I can see from the fork adjusters however that the previous owner has had a spanner around them. I don’t mind this, I just don’t know what they have adjusted to. Does anyone know what the standard settings are? I’m 75kg and that is generally what the standard set-up is set to. I have asked to dealer to contact the previous owner to enquire but thought it would be a good question to throw up here Would appreciate the input. Jay
You can download the owners manual here and use the settings listed to start with. Page 215 - 217 Best advice is to go to a suspension tuner who will set it up for your weight and riding preferences. https://www.ducati.com/ww/en/service-maintenance/owner-manuals
Thanks for the help and responses. The bike for some reason came with the 950 manual, not the 950 SP manual. My first thought was this was something Ducati did and provided an additional leaflet for the SP that was missing in this instance. Anyway, bike now back to standard (front preload was on uneven on each fork) which would make things interesting. Jay
First and foremost - you can buy from snap on a plastic insert that goes round the fork preload nut, this is protect the blue anodising....i would get one of those first before you start putting a spanner round them.... Second - fork settings are going to be really against your weight....go and see a suspension specialist...he will set it up for your weight....itll be the best 30 quid you ever spent....
