950 950 Test Ride

  1. Took a new 950 out today and I must say I was extremely disappointed with it, vibrations through the seat pegs and bar wind noise was unreally and comfortable with the screen up or down, felt unsafe at speed are they all like that?

  2. Shouldn't be too bad. If it's new then try taking it back. It could be faulty.

  3. I have to say it must be the worst bike ever been on, my knees are killing all night after riding it.

  4. All multis have a vibrations through the pegs & bars, its part of the character

  5. Sounds like these problems are more related to you rather than the bike

  6. No mate it’s the bike

  7. simple, do not buy it, find another that you like more

  8. Didn’t say I was buying it just how shit I think it was simple!

  9. Just because it didn’t suit you or for whatever reason you didn’t like it doesn’t make it shit. Don’t get the attitude. Bizarre.

  10. It didn’t suit me because the pegs were too high but would possibly get used to that I didn’t like it because of the buffeting you get from the standard screen in low or high position the vibration through the seat handlebars and pegs, it was a windy day when I was out on it and it felt unstable at speed. The salesman said to me he thought it was the best bike in the Ducati range I would say it is the worst bike I’ve ever had a test ride on or owned but would take another one out to see if it was the same. So no attitude and not bizarre just giving my opinion on a bike, have you got a 950 MS?
I had a scrambler a few years back which wasn’t a fantastic bike but I’ll take that over that 950 I went out on any day.
I’ve been waiting for somebody to disagree with me regarding the issues that I found but so far nobody has apart from somebody saying it was character, prove me wrong and I would consider buying a 950S to replace my hyperstrada..

  11. Hi, I owned the first 950 Multistrada model that came out and have upgraded to the 950 s last year and luv it.
Yes it does have some vibes through the pegs but the riding position is great for me at 6ft tall. I really don't think there is a perfect bike off the shelf to suit everyone you all put your personal stamp on every bike that you own.
And for me their is not any other bike that I fancy at this moment in time, so happy riding from an old git or should I say a mature rider.

  12. My test ride on a Scrambler, terrible harsh suspension, horrible seat, feet too low...

    Horses for courses?

  13. That’s my point it doesn’t suit you but that doesn’t make it shit. I’ve got a 950S and it fits me perfectly. Not had an issue with stability in any weather but would need to have followed you to see if we experienced the same. The screen isn’t great but I can’t recall a bike I’ve owned that I haven’t changed the screen on for various reasons. There doesn’t seem any point in trying to convince you to buy one, you could try another in case the one you had was a poor example. Good luck with your search.

  14. Probably nobody cares enough about your personal opinion to argue about it. maybe get a Pani and try and live up to your forum name

  16. Taking a test ride in a couple of weeks, very interested to see if I would miss the power and charge you my twinspark

  17. Nearly every review I read where the 950 and 1200/1260 are tested side by side, the 950 wins the vote.
