Has anyone fitted a ventureshield full kit to their 2004 full carbon 749r? In the past I have ordered and fitted a 1098s full kit to my Tricolore from ‘Bodyguard UK’, but they list 2 different kits for the 749/999 model: 749 / S ('02-'04) Full Kit 749/999 ('04-) Full Kit When I look on another ventureshield website e.g. ‘Invisible patterns’, they list the 2 different kits for the 749/999 model::- Ducati 749/999 (2002-2004) Ducati 749/999 (2005-) A pointer in the correct direction most appreciated. The 2005 onwards 749/999 had a different nosecone so that would probably be the difference, however the 749R had a bigger tank than other models (homologation purposes) so the tank kit may not be a perfect fit for a non-R kit
I assume by the fact you are on your second set you would highly recommend the venture shield. Looking at doing my 1098S
749R has wider nose too so you'll be after a post 2005 one but will likely have to cut out the top vents. Nice Bike Kev.
Old post, just trawling. I would recommend Tony James Designs for Venture Shield. They will mod the kit for whatever you need on any bike/helmet, but you need to go and see them. I'm having a custom kit on my 916 once the bodywork is back. Done work on my cars previously. Worth a look on their web site.
