I am not a fan of aftermarket filters as changing a stock filter or cleaning is so easy. I think it depend son your bike and how much you use it. Also to get the best if it is taking more air it needs to be tuned.
Of course it would need to be tuned once the filter had been changed and all. I was told it would make the ride smoother especially on lower revs.
