  2. It was CRG Driver Paolo Ippolito (No 22) he attacked but race coverage doesn't show the on-track incident (Lap 9 of the gearbox final) - obv no excuse for that behaviour.

  3. Yeah - didn’t see the incident that led to all of this, but he’s 23 years old and his behaviour is that of a spoilt child throwing a tantrum!

And Ippolito is 16 and tiny! That bloke running in from the side straight at the little lad is Luca’s father - aside from the on circuit behaviour that’s 2 grown men attacking a kid - publicly.

They are obviously so convinced of their own importance at ‘their’ track that they think they can do anything.

  4. He's just thrown his possibly beckoning career away, looking at his Father's attitude you could be forgiven for speculating where "the money" came from, unbelievable, and glad it was caught on camera/phone for all to see.

  5. Disgusting behaviour, all other tracks in the area should give him a lifetime ban from racing on or visiting them.

this kind of thing isn’t that rare sadly but makes for good watching

  13. I get an error when I try to play it, but purely by chance I happened to see it again a few weeks ago and in the clip I saw there's a brief shot of a much younger Bernie Eccelstone

It didn't when Fenati arguably did much worse in Moto2 at Misano in 2018. IIRC, they banned him for life but he's back. I guess if you are fast enough and have enough sponsoship money behind you then after its all blown over all will be forgiven?

Edit: he was only banned til the end of 2018, but the point is the same.

  14. Both he and Piquet were a familiar sight less than a quarter of a mile away from here when I was a teenager. I remember one popular still with Bernie showing a Black & Decker workmate being put to good use in the early pre- digital days.

  15. Bernie must have picked it up by the legs, he would not have been able to reach the top.
