Zinc Plating

  1. Just looking into Zinc Plating, still undecided on paying someone to do it or getting a kit and do it myself...

    Any of you guys do it yourself and if so which Kit would you suggest?

    Any pros or cons I should consider also? Also is it safe to do in a shed or does it need to be a well ventilated area?

    I paid to have mine done. Looks a right faff IMHO

  7. I had a kit once. Worked well most of the time but it is nasty stuff. Ventilated shed is fine. I wouldn't bother now as Zink plating is so cheap anyway.

  8. I cleaned and degreased all of the bits I water done and gave them to a plating firm.
    Came out brilliant and for the cost, it just wasn’t worth the hassle doing it myself
