I’d be out straight away but the weather up north here is horrendous, lashing down with rain and windy as feck,......but the first decent day we get,..I’m gone!
Utter shite and wholly misleading. Until an actual prosecution is tested in a court of law, that article is nothing more than someone’s opinion. Under the current lockdown restrictions, if you are driving a car, riding a motorcycle or even riding a bicycle on public roads, you are liable to be stopped and questioned by a police officer and I have a feeling I can anticipate exactly stance they will take. Thames Valley police stopped every vehicle travelling northbound on the A404 one day this week at about 8am and asked the drivers where they were going and why. We are supposedly adult, the choice is yours but don’t bleat on here when you get challenged and the police officer doesn’t see your point of view. Andy
Andrew Dalton; he of solicitor biking fame has a bit on his website which says it’s fine to ride and he will during this lockdown period. https://www.whitedalton.co.uk/motorbike-blog/2020/11/can-i-go-out-on-my-motorcycle-during-lockdown/
If you've a topbox or side panniers maybe fill them with electrical or plumbing tools and memorise some postcodes for work locations if that desperate to out & about..
That is his opinion, nothing more. It will be interesting to see if his prosecution becomes the legal precident. Andy
As in lockdown v.1 you can ride to a local destination then walk round for exercise. So no different now.
