  1. Just read he’s passed away after recent brain surgery
15 years to the day George Best went.

  2. Oh dear. Hand of god hey.

    Shame.

  3. Yep. Off to shake the hand of God

  4. Best natural talent the game as ever seen. And like so many natural talents, wonderfully flawed.

Wonder if God shakes his hand or sends him off....

  7. Didn't like the cnut but wouldn't wish this on him. :( After all, it was only a dodgy goal and not as if England were World beaters....

  8. He was a good cheat!

  9. Pele v Maddona I couldn’t decide between em tbf..

Pele what a player...He might have bettered his career mind if he had been good enough for West Ham..

Maddona .. some amazing hits over many decades...Mind her performance at the euros the other year was dreadful tbf.. well out of tune.. ( Eurovision )

    Gonna miss her X

  10. Stayed in a hotel on a work trip in SF once, came across a guy who had retired out there having been a FIFA ref & then reffing for the American Soccer League. Got around to asking him the obvious question. He’d reffed Pele, Cruyff, Beckenbauer & just about everyone throughout the 60’s 70s & 80’s & was clearly a very switched on football man, even then (1993). His answer?: George Best, who he described as the most incredibly gifted footballer he’d ever seen. Hard to argue with a guy like that & I wouldn’t, but for me, Maradona was something else. Ronaldo’s close nowadays, but no one else imo.

  11. He was only 60.

  14. the affect he had on Napoli i think proves just how good he was... His balance was amazing... Funny really how most of the best forwards are small.. Diego Pele Messi Keegan Dalglish Muller Cottee ..

Surprised Aguero is playing tonight really... His father in law.. X

  15. Pele was asked who was the best, he said George Best.

  17. RIP Maradona. As ridiculously talented/flawed. A diety in Argentina. Although on 60 years old he crammed quite a bit in didn’t he? His knees were so knacks he could hardly walk, his heart so knackered it just gave up. Maradona Pele Best etc all amazing and all the best. That’s quite a tram the lord is building up there, and the transfer season isn’t even open??

  18. Despised the bloke
