959 Tri Options Cup Pack

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Ryan, Dec 9, 2020.

  1. Hi one of my friends is looking at the 959 he has seen one which is 12k only 1k miles and is 2017 it has the tri options cup pack.

I assumed that just meant underside exhaust and few little trick bits like different reservoirs.

Am I correct or is there other different changes compare to a normal 959 with say the underside exhaust also fitted.

  2. It’s a special engine built with the weak conrods and valves of a Tri option s bike :upyeah:

    :joy::joy::sob:

    :upyeah:

  5. Are you looking at an ex Tri options race bike or a road bike with some bolt ons ? Andy

  6. I think the pack was worth a few quid and seemed decent value. But that only carries forward if it’s the same price as other non TO 959 imho

  7. Evil.

  8. Road bike mate not the tri options cup bikes.

  9. Were talking like 2k more second hand for this tri options pack bike over a 959 with the underside exhaust and similar miles

  10. You don’t recover the initial purchase price of the bolt ons when selling the bike on but sellers seem to think otherwise. IMO, for a 3 year old bike with 1000 miles, £12k seems excessive. Andy

  16. Your think of the Special edition one limited to 25.
The trioption pack was added as an incentive to promote sales of the 959 as no one liked the shotgun gun exhaust.
As the underslung exhaust was a
£2500 option plus extra for the side panels on there own the extra trick bits as well for £1500 was a bit of a bargain.
Used do command a bit more than the stand 959
    Special edition
With a price tag of £15,995 that’s getting dangerously close to the Panigale 1299S at £17,195, the new 959 Panigale Ducati Performance limited edition is a blinged-up special edition version of the sweet new 959 Panigale.

The Panigale 959 is one of the best-handling, most entertaining and purist sports bikes on the road. The kind of bike that gets you smiling without having to ride it flat-out, and with this new special edition and a load of parts thrown at it, the 959 should be even better. It already makes 157bhp from its 955cc Superquadro V-twin motor and weighs in at 176kg dry as standard.

Featuring a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system and lower fairings to accommodate the new pipe, a billet filler cap, flip-up racing clutch and brake levers, MotoGP-style brake guard, a single seat cowl and Ducati Corse over-sized screen, the Ducati Performance limited edition costs some £2200 more than standard for all those parts.

Just 25 bikes will be built for the UK and they’re all marked up on the top yoke with the number of the special edition.

Okay, so you could buy all the parts yourself but they won’t be official special editions, and that alone is likely to keep the resale value higher when you come to chop it in.

On top of all this spec, a carbon-fibre pack which includes a carbon ignition switch cover, carbon shock cover, carbon heel guards, carbon and alloy tail tidy, carbon front sprocket cover, billet aluminium handlebar weights, carbon fuel tank protector, carbon shark-fin chain guard and carbon rear mudguard are included for an extra £1000 over the limited-ediiton price.
