Nothing to do with me but looked a good price if seller is genuine https://www.facebook.com/groups/698...87152708024943/?sale_post_id=4987152708024943
This thread caught my eye with its original title (Damaged Carbon Wheels) as I have a damaged BST rear (just a loose fastener) which has been back at the factory since way back when and with no sign of a fix. I also have a magnesium Dymag which had an air leak through the hub. The team at Dymag repaired it in about fifteen minutes flat (no pun intended) at no charge! Dymag 1 BST 0
i must admit i was tempted on a set of carbon dymags for my rsv but they cost more than i paid for the bike
Seems to be more of these floating around on the market... Dymag BST etc... but mainly older manufactured stuff. Personally I would be very wary considering any early production issues or hidden damage! I’ve had 2 pairs of BST’s with zero issues but they were virtually new. Just saying like
I ordered a set of dymags direct from the factory around 2011/12. The overall finish didn't really impress, with little open pockets all over the place in the outer surfaces. When I spoke to them, they agreed that this was relatively commonplace and while they would happily exchange the wheels, they would not guarantee that the next set would be any better and they would not exchange a second time. I returned for refund and that was me done with carbon wheels.
I must agree that with my own experience with Dymags on my old 996 and a set on the 999, the finish isn't up to the standard of the likes of BST, but I must admit i prefer the Dymag optic against the older BST 7 spoke mamba..
I had a pair on my 916 in 1997 and have a pair on the R now, quality is great imo, but now I’m old and slow not sure if it makes any difference to me Another forum member has some Rapid Tek on his PP Multi and they look the dogs, would I buy some for my Multi?? Hell yeah
I used to have a set of PVM wheels on my wife's RS250, they were light Mag, (not superlight!) but finish was a bit 'rough' I think the PVM forged wheels are better nowadays... but not checked myself
I have Dymag carbon rimmed wheels on the 999. Best upgrade ever. I will never spend big money on open exhausts etfc again. Wheels first.. Finish is fine - they look good when Zymoled up.
