I am looking for new brake pads for my 851SP3. Cast iron rotors, want the best (non sinter) racings pads. So I am hunting down the Ferodo FRP408 CPRO brake pads. They are the successor of the CP1 pads, but I've contacted a lot of shops and all I can get is the CP1. Looks like they first want to get rid of the old stock before the new type will be distributed. Any body got any idea what shop to try? I've tried a lot of Dutch and German shops already, perhaps there's a UK shop that I might try? TIA, Jacco
Anybody got experience with the Brembo Racing Competition pads? These are also organic pads for track days, might be an alternative.
Contacted the importer of Ferodo in the Netherlands. They tell me that they don't have these listed but that I can order these at the dealer. Then they will order them in Italy. I am leaning towards the Brembo 07BB15RC Extreme Racing. Organic compound and easier to get. Will give them a try.
I work for the UK importer. I wasn't aware of the change in spec which likely explains why there is no stock in the UK. I have amended our database and if Ferodo Italy have any, they will come through on our next stock order. I dont do the purchase ordering so am not certain when that is, it will now get sorted moving on though. You will then be able to source 'em via any UK dealer. Ferodo actually manufacture many of Brembo's pads for them. The code number on the back will confirm who made them
