1260 Ducati Multistrada 1260 V4 !! 190hp

  1. By Top I guess you mean fastest road riders ?

  2. Without getting into semantics, I’d prefer to use quickest but a rider who has the ability to use the full capability of the Multistrada (or for any bike for that matter) either on road or on track. As I have already written in this thread, I know and have ridden with about 20 (1200) Multistrada owners and there is only 1 (most definitely not me) who can IMO truly get the best out of what is a very capable bike. 3. Mate, your embarrassing me!

If I do have a test run, I'll let you know.

  4. That admission puts you in a definite age group!

  5. Sorry, do I know you ? :joy: Andy

  6. I'm still not impressed. IMO it continues to look like a load of spare parts.
My 1260 MTS remains my go to bike for now and for some time to come. Perhaps, if and when Ducati realise they've developed a frog rather than a prince, they may make some further mods, at which point I may think again.
    Who knows!

  7. Ive ordered my V4 but i won't be moaning if they do slap £1000 on because of a no deal its my hobby and Im prepared to soak it up. The fact is Ill spend the time riding the bike not moaning with a bit of doom and gloom thrown in for good measure

  8. Exactly, if you were worried about the cost you wouldn't buy a Ducati.

  10. Blimey, didn't realise there were so many Latte drinking Ducati owners out there? Vol-au-vent anyone?

  11. My analogy of owning a Ducati is its like having a beautiful blond on your arm ...... its going to be costly :joy:

  12. She will require only the best shoes, wear them out regularly. Insist on the finest liquid intake, throw tantrums for no reason, but when in the mood perform beautifully and leave a beaming smile on your face. Well thats the 1260 .....

Not sure about the ugly V4 sister though. Looks like she got dressed in the dark, prefers wellies and drinks like a fish.

  15. I've seen at least two far sexier designs on the drawing board in this video. And from the designer's own words, the Italian styling was limited to the tank.
    Most unfortunate...

  16. Another thing that I have noticed is that the coloring scheme on the front of the bike may be quite responsible for the "collection of parts" appearance that someone attributed to the new design.

  17. Hey guys just a quicky, regards new V4 i no people's opinions are a very personal thing, but I called at Ducati Leeds to be con fronted by the new multi fresh out of the grate , and I must say the pictures don't do it justice in the flesh it's a very nice well finished bike, had I sit on board felt very plush, now looking forward to a run out on the demo, I will reserve further judgement until then, hope the engine lives up to expectations as my current 1260 is an absolute peach.

  18. I've no doubt that it is a well finished bike and it does what it says (mostly). I also, agree that looks is a totally personal thing and my feel is that it sucks. I still look at my '11 1200 like I've just bought it. It still looks gorgeous after all those years. This one just doesn't push my buttons. And I believe we all agree that the older models couldn't be mistaken for some other bike. This one ...
