Evotech Performance - Where to begin.. What a company! Possibly the best customer service I've ever had! Last week I did a write up on my 1 year old Evotech phone mount for my Multistrada (1200/1260). This fits snugly into the place of the factory navigation mount. In my write up I went through the lengthy steps I had to go through to get my phone mounted with the new Quadlock vibration dampener due to having the older model of phone mount. Little did I know, Evotech have developed a small new additional part (now part of the standard phone mount if you make a new order today) which can be used with my older setup and allows you to add the vibration dampener correctly - which they shipped out to me promptly! How did I find out about this? Evotech actually found my post on Facebook, and gave me a call to help out and get me sorted with the correct adapter I needed! The Evotech Quadlock mount is great piece of kit that can be fitted to the factory position for the Ducati standard Nav, and allows you to use your mobile phone for your navigation - I've been using mine for about a year now and it's great. I'd highly recommend getting one if you plan to mount your phone. (as well as all their other products, I have the rad & oil cooler guards fitted too!) This is the kind of company that really takes care of customers and clearly has pride in their product. Because this kit is all manufactured here in the UK they can accommodate most requests it seems, you simply have to reach out to them and you get the personable customer service you expect from a great British manufacturer. Side note - Why I want to add the Quadlock vibration dampener: The new vibration dampener has been produced to combat the effects of bike/road vibrations that can be passed onto your phone through standard Quadlock mount - in some cases damaging mobile phone cameras that have "optical Image Stabilisation". From what I've seen online its mostly but not limited to iPhones that are affected by this but the risk is that your camera will not be able to focus properly if the OIS component is damaged and it makes the camera look like its shaking (completely unusable). Always good to hear a story of excellent customer service, it sounds like they went out of their way to A. find you and B. help you. I've been using quadlock for a few years on push bikes and motorbikes, Its by far the best mount I've used. unfortunately my phone camera has been damaged by the mount, i've fitted the damper now but its a little after the horse has bolted. but even with the camera being borked i would still recommend the mount, just make sure you add the damper to your order.
Always been a big fan of Evotech stuff. It's really well designed and made, and well worth the price tag. That's a smart looking mount - I might investigate one of those myself.
I am a big fan also of the Evotech gear, had it on all my recent bikes, top quality, just hope they start producing stuff for the new Multi V4 soon!!
Evotech customer service is first class, recently went to fit there tail tidy to one of my bikes which upon trying to do I discovered it was missing a few items. Quick phone call to Evotech to explain the situation and ask about buying the missing items and no problem they dispatched all of the missing bits and insisted there would be no charge. Great customer service always pays off as it makes you buy there products again and again knowing you’re dealing with a decent honest company. Shame other companies don’t operate in the same way. Big thumbs up for Evotech.
