V4 Got My New V4s

Hi, are the crash bars painted, or are they polished/ brushed stainless, they look good!

I like it so far but did only 120 km what I noticed there is a very tiny limit switch which is triggered when you operated the clutch handle and three coloured cables to the switch are not covered I will take a picture later todat when I go for 1000 km service I will ask the dealer. It is a completely different motor then my BMW K1600GT very agile and changing gear is perfect compared to clunk from Beemer

I’m thinking of replacing my 1200 multistrada pikes peak for one there are mixed feelings out there.

 

This is that small limit switch (1cm) underneath the coupling handle and the bare cables for about 3 cm I wonder what this switch is doing it looks very fragile

 

It will be an interlock switch to ensure that if you try to start the bike in gear it will only allow it if the clutch is pulled in. This protects the starter clutch from mechanical shock and potential failure.

Also it will disengage the cruise control if you pull in the clutch.

 

Hi Maserati, the specifications are mentioning a weight of 240 kg, filled with all liquids and a full tank. Via A test from 1000ps this week, it turns out the weight without cases and without protection bar is 270 kg. Could you confirm this? Thanks, Jos.

 

I have no idea as far as I seen in the test and official manual the weight is
Totaal gewicht (rijklaar met 90% brandstof -
44/2014/EU bijlage XI): 243 kg (535,72 lb) and 218 kg dry ( 480,6 lb)

I think they are painted brushed alu color they look very nice and I hope I never have to use their function

I filled in my VIN number on recall site from Ducati and I received a message that my V4s must have a recall CR 205 at my Ducati dealer.If I did not receive an emergency call from them then I will let them do it during 1000 km service.

Bike looks to be a cracking ride though. Can't wait to try one.

 

Looks good, but there seems to be a bit of headshake at one point. I'm looking forward to seeing what the PP version will look like.
