Growing up without getting old....

  1. First time Ducati owner from Sweden.
I've just treated myself to an 848 Evo Corse, a grey/black one.
Still running in so revs are still way below the real fun zone.
The sound's fantastic and I gather that will "improve" even more as I can wind the throttle open.

This is not the first Italian bike though. I've previously owned a Laverda 1000 Jota 120. That was a mixed experience.
The Ducati feels like a nimble but powerful small racing boat in comparison to a destroyer...though the Jota was really fast way back then.

As the subject line says "The trick is growing up without growing old". By my age-not that I feel that old- a lot of people seem to have gone past their "no-more-fun-after-date" by a long margin...so sad to see...
I'll try to keep going as long as there's another winding, twisting road left...to keep me interested.

    Cheers, all

    SweDuc

  12. You don't stop riding motorbikes because you get old, you get old because you stop riding motorbikes.
