Hi guys will a 17 x 6.00 9004 7 spoke BST Carbon Wheel fit an ‘02 748 please? Im trying to decide whether to buy a set privately and I want to make sure I get the right fit. Thanks
It will but I think you have to trim the chain guard for the bigger tyre. I've got 6 inch wheel on my 996 and had to trim it.
Thanks @cookster hadn’t thought of that, I’m in 2 minds have the OEM 5 spokes on currently but am tempted.
i peronally would go forged oz or marchesini i sold my bst wheels as i was starting no have doubts about them.
They're on fleabay for £1,000 currently. It's either that or a monoposto seat unit for extortionate amounts! Lockdown boredom...
Not mine, but if I can help. Let me know. cheers https://www.2dehands.be/a/motoren/o...carbon-wielen-heel-licht.html?previousPage=lr
Guys what’s the maximum age you would consider for a second hand set of carbon wheels? I’m looking at a couple of sets that look great (difficult to know without detailed inspection) one set 4 years old the other 6/7 (BST/Dymag). Should I just bite the bullet and get a new set whose history I can be sure of?
I’d be careful buying 2nd hand carbon or mag wheels unless you knew where they came from and the kind of use they had had. Mine were off a show bike in Holland and I also know that the seller wouldn’t have sold them unless he was 100% sure they were right.
a mate of mine who runs a small bike garage has some on his 996 and phoned bst the same question, they said as long as they havent been crashed there is no time or age limit on them.
