  1. Hi guys will a 17 x 6.00 9004 7 spoke BST Carbon Wheel fit an ‘02 748 please?

Im trying to decide whether to buy a set privately and I want to make sure I get the right fit.

    Thanks

  2. It will but I think you have to trim the chain guard for the bigger tyre. I've got 6 inch wheel on my 996 and had to trim it.

  3. Thanks @cookster hadn’t thought of that, I’m in 2 minds have the OEM 5 spokes on currently but am tempted.

  4. i peronally would go forged oz or marchesini i sold my bst wheels as i was starting no have doubts about them.

  5. It's got the 5 spoke Marchesini on as it's an S I thought some Carbon bling would look good

  6. yeah they good if you like them go for um bud.

ive still got carbon/mag dymags on my 996

  7. They're on fleabay for £1,000 currently. It's either that or a monoposto seat unit for extortionate amounts! Lockdown boredom...

  10. Looks fantastic mate!

  11. Performance over aesthetics matey. Except with carbon wheels you get both :upyeah:

BSTs look mint. I’d trust them every time before a set of old mag wheels.

  13. 6 inch? You may have trouble with a 200 tyre clearing the swingarm.

  14. Still got that old bitsa eh!

  15. No he moved it on for a 959

  16. 190 works on 6 inch rim. As above may need to trim guard

  17. Guys what’s the maximum age you would consider for a second hand set of carbon wheels? I’m looking at a couple of sets that look great (difficult to know without detailed inspection) one set 4 years old the other 6/7 (BST/Dymag). Should I just bite the bullet and get a new set whose history I can be sure of?

  18. I’d be careful buying 2nd hand carbon or mag wheels unless you knew where they came from and the kind of use they had had. Mine were off a show bike in Holland and I also know that the seller wouldn’t have sold them unless he was 100% sure they were right.

  19. a mate of mine who runs a small bike garage has some on his 996 and phoned bst the same question, they said as long as they havent been crashed there is no time or age limit on them.
