  1. Hi all hope your Sunday is going better than mine.would anyone know why after fitting a new Oberon clutch slave cylinder and full set of steel and friction plates i can't get any drive. Lever feels fine , clutch pressure plate moves in and out. It's a 98 bip should i have used the small extension bit that i put in a safe place and now can't find the bugger or could it be something else? Any thoughts welcomed

  2. Did you check that the pressure plate is correctly aligned?
There’s a cast triangle adjacent to one of the spring post holes on the plate (on OEM plate) that needs to be aligned with the spring post with a slot in it.

  3. Wrong stack height? Should be about 38.5mm.

  4. Hi Ricky. I thought I did but will double check. Cheers

  5. The old plate set I think came out at around 36 mm . The new set are original (Ducati) should I need to add extra

  6. I guess not but it wouldn't hurt to measure up to be sure.

  7. when you say you can't get any drive, what do you mean? With engine running, clutch in, does it select a gear as normal? so if it does, you release clutch and it doesn't move bike forward? If you have got movement at plates (you only need approx 2 mm) then you can't be far off. Could be as said or it could be that you haven't got last plate engaging in pressure plate upon assy (often caused by triangle not aligned with post as said).

  8. Hi Chris. It's exactly as you said . I'll look at alignment . Cheers

  9. Cheers Petsmith will do

  10. Thanks lads. As Ricky said the plate wasn't lined up correctly. Measured plates approx 37-38mm and nipped springs up. All working ok now. Cheers
