Just checked the fault codes on my 1198s and three codes were showing up, the Regulator failed recently which I have replaced so suspect the P0560 System Voltage Malfunction error will be related to that but one of the others is puzzling me... P0482 Cooling Fan 3 Circuit Malfunction Now I might be missing something obvious here but I can only see 2 fans one either side of the radiator is their a third? The coolant was low so wondering if this could have been the cause for it? I have cleared the fault codes and left it to run until the fans kicked in (Both looked fine) around 103C then checked again and no faults codes seen, does anyone know what/where fan 3 is?
Depends where you reference your OBD faults, as some list it as Fan Relay 2. There is only one fan relay found on the right side of the battery box. A pig to get at and the fan relay is the back one of the two relays. A 2 quid part. Whilst you are in there change the front relay for the coil/injector/pump. They are the same relay.

The 1198 fans are known to cut their wires if the wires have not been routed properly. You can then get this error. Don't ask how I know.
