No. And at £75 I won’t be lol It’s like hello fresh. Old mate swore by it. I just wondered why he didn’t do tesco online instead
It’s nothing like Hello Fresh or Gusto mate, chalk and cheese. Quite understand your reticence about the cost, we each have the things we prioritise to spend our respective meagre pittance on. Andy
Quite a few gastro pubs and michelin chef type places have been doing them to keep things ticking along
What a wonderful city Napoli is. My wife and I had a long weekend break there in 2015 - had pizza at the highly recommended Sorbillo family run Pizzeria on Via dei Tribunate - very rustic and nothing to look at inside but insanely popular. We had to take a ticket and queue outside before getting a lunchtime table. Bought wine by the glass from the wine shop next door and stood in the warm street with everyone else waiting our turn to go in. Fantastic pizzas and whilst eating a young busker came in and sang a couple of Tenor Arias in the middle of the room. It sounded absolutely beautiful, it moved me and tears ran down my cheek! He got a standing ovation as he passed his cap around the room and we gave him a worthy tip. I adore love the passion for life in Italy, my recent 23 & Me DNA test showed that I have 1.6% Italian DNA within me and I know not from where - maybe that is why I previously bought a Ducati Scrambler DS and published a 10,000 word Novella in 2011 on iTunes called "Ducati Passion after a bike tour to the Ducati factory at Borgo Panigale.
Damn, as it’s my birthday (and wedding anniversary) soon I was researching the idea of these and I didn’t see this thread. I’ve ordered a meal for two from here: https://www.elitebistros.com/ The main course is feather blade of beef which has been cooked for 8 hrs. I’ll give the other one a go as well sometime, I love pigs cheeks. I’ve cooked them myself but they take hours. We’ve also visited San Sebastián and love the food there. Had some incredible meals as well as the Pixos. I can also recommend some places in Seville as I’ve worked out there and was taken out by my client as well as doing a tapas tour. Spanish food is seriously underrated.
Over the years, I have come to trust the Rough Guide books when visiting a new city. Found a small back street bar in Seville, that the guide pointed us to, in which we were that treated like honoured guests. Cost a pittance for some wonderful local dishes and we were given a free beer for our troubles. Bloody awesome. Andy
Just followed your link looks delish and they do Estrella Inedit as well. Hope you enjoy your double celebration and look forward to your feedback. Andy
We booked a tapas tour and it was great as she took us to a bunch of places we wouldn’t have found on our own.
Our restaurant box arrived, it was pretty easy to heat up and tasted great (probably could have managed with one starter between us) The beef was fabulous
