  1. Hi from SE London. Just picked up my "new" '97 916. Delighted to be on the old devil again. Not sure the neighbours are pleased though. Those termi's....

  3. Thanks and would love to. Am 2 miles from the Kent border and the roads are better your way than mine ! Any advice on decent roads would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Lee, just on the A20. The 916 seems a lot happier over 30mph...

  4. There's a few guys in the Lewisham and Bexley area who meet with us Kenties each month. We meet at Mickeys diner on the A229 Bluebell Hill at midday every 4th Sunday in the month. We try to have an early ride out and finish for lunch and the meet. The next ride is planned for this coming Sunday. A gentle bimble down to Sussex via Romney Marsh and then back through the middle of Kent to Mickeys for about 1200. We ride at our own pace, with no pressure to go fast f you want a cruise. If we deviate from the main roads or go anything other than straight over a roundabout we wait. Likewise if people drop back ;-)

  7. Thanks again ! That sounds a proper little Sunday morning. Will make sure I get myself down there as soon as I can. Be good to catch up and that route looks decent too - and a fry-up awaits ! Also good to hear will be in decent and patient company; still getting to grips with the 916 - a delightful handful so far, especially with the lightweight wheels on it. So a mixed group is ideal. See you soon Nick, cheers again. The missus will be delighted to see the back of me ;)

  12. Hello, I've seen that bike in Mike Baxters a short time ago, where it was up for sale.(£5k iirc)

    Is it the bike with the ribbed body on the Ohlins rear shock, also a 916/duc related plate?

    another newbie from south east London,

    currently have a 2011 cross plain R1 - looking to change to either 848/1198 sometime soon.

    always interested in going to ride outs/meets etc....looking forward to meeting a few of you!
