Hi everyone, After years of Carl Fogarty being my childhood hero and my dad having a 916 while i was growing up i've finally got myself a Ducati 1098 with loads of carbon goodies and termi's. I've never rode a twin before so its 'an experience' going round slow corners haha. Unfortunately there is a little problem with the dipped beam which ive posted in the technical forum and would love some advice Also i got given loads of bits with the bike including a genuine ducati carbon rear seat cowl that fits 848/1098 if anyone is interested or could suggest an ebay price? I've bought a red one to go with the bike and i cant let carbon gather dust its just not on haha Cheers
Welcome m8... Yeah the twin is a different animal, but once you suss it out I'm sure you'll love it. The carbon seat cowl retails for £200 as I very nearly bought one, but went for a White one instead. Pop it in the classified section before fleebay.
Welcome to the forum. When my son was little I had my first Ducati ST2 and now he too rides an R6 (his third bike) and dreams of a Ducati. I'm still riding an ST4S and cannot imagine myself ever being without a Ducati. Once you get the Ducati bug I'm afraid it is with you for life!!
Cheers! Iv just got rid of a cbr600rr which was my second bike and got this. The power is unbelievable! And the noise! I absolutely love it. Riding a twin is a skill in its self though. Slow corners round my village where an eye opener but I've just been riding the clutch a little bit. As soon as I wind the throttle back tho..... WOW! Thunder and lightning and I'm in the next town. Best thing I ever did!
